How do I perform a layaway transaction in Store Manager classic?

Answer

To ring up an item as layaway in Store Manager classic, please follow these steps:

1. Click Actions, then click Transaction Layaway.
2. Press F3 to select a customer.
3. When you tender your transaction, enter in the customer's down payment as a regular payment type (cash, credit card, etc.). Enter the remainder of the balance in the In-store Credit field.

When a customer wishes to make a payment on their layaway item, select the customer by pressing F3, and enter pay as the product code. This will allow you to enter the amount the customer wishes to pay. To see the balance of a customer's account, press F3, then press F6.
