UniTech MS842P

The Unitech MS842P barcode scanner gives you a great combination of mobility and advanced 2D scanning, ideal for medium volume, shipping and receiving, or any scanning activity where you need additional freedom of motion.

Using a proprietary radio transmitter, the MS842P connects to the included dongle to send data. This can be plugged into your device directly, or into the charging cradle, and provides an encrypted and difficult to intercept connection. The radio can maintain a connection for up to 33 feet, and the MS842P will switch to batch scanning if it happens to be out of range.

The 2D imager in the MS842P is available in standard range or high density models, giving you scanning tuned to your needs. Both can read standard retail barcodes quickly and with a standard depth of field, ensuring new employees can get up and running with minimal training. The MS842P can also read barcodes on LCD displays, making this a great option if you are looking to add mobile couponing, ticketing, or customer loyalty applications to your business.

With added mobility comes increased opportunities for accidental damage, and the MC842P can handle most retail and even some light industrial use and abuse. The scanner is gasket sealed to an IP42 rating, meaning that dirt and mild water splashes can't harm internal components. Reinforcing in the body protects the scanner from drops of 6 feet, further extending its use. With a 1-year warranty standard, the Unitech MS842P is a great addition to any checkstand.
