The PAX PX7 has the capability of loading a custom image on to the display face for your business needs. To accomplish, there are several options available. The easiest step is using the Sideload option, with USB Thumb Drive to load the image onto the device. The first thing that should be done is to print off a Self Test page in order to determine what the passkey may be. Typically, the passkey will be ‘0000’ by default. In order to print off a test page, make sure the printer is off. Once it is turned off, press and hold the FEED button. While holding the FEED button down, turn the printer back on. At this point, a self test print should be printed off containing printer information, including the passkey needed for Bluetooth pairing. With the new TLS security updates being pushed out by payment processors for PCI compliance, many customers are having to upgrade their POS systems to meet the new requirements. With the CRE update 12.8040+, the new system requirements do not support the Atom 1.8 gHz processors or 2 GB of RAM.
