This pocket-sized barcode scanner uses BlueTooth class 3 communications technology to pair with the CipherLab 3610 transponder or any BlueTooth-capable device, giving you 10 meters of range and fast data transmission. With the optional wedge software, the 1660 can become an Android barcode scanner, pairing with cell phones running Google's OS.
Powered by a pair of AAA batteries, the 1660 can run for about 30 hours of consistent scanning before swapping batteries. With the batteries installed, the 1660 weighs in at a scant 1.76 oz., light enough to barely be noticed during a workshift.
