Many of these printers have multiple options to connect to the mobile computer

Here are some of the more widely used methods:
Serial/USB (direct cable) - This method uses a physical cable with a serial or
usb connector. To use this, your mobile computer is going to need that specific
port ready for a printer. There are occasions when mobile computers have

802.11 Wireless: No cables required, but this method requires you to have
a wireless network set up that covers the location it is going to be used. The
printer will connect to the access point (for example, a router) and be
available to every computer on the network that has it set up as a shared
printer. Keep in mind, the printer does not connect directly to the computer.
It requires this relay through the router.
Bluetooth: A wireless connection using Bluetooth is a direct link between two
devices. When using this method, the printer pairs with the computer and
maintains an exclusive connection. Many devices now are offering Bluetooth,
which can make this a great option for compatibility.
Mobile printers require anything they are printing to be created by the
computer's software. This includes receipts and labels alike. You are going to
