The Xenon 1900 Color, Honeywell’s latest barcode scanning innovation, is an aggressive imager capable of scanning colored barcodes and doubling as a digital camera for capturing color images. It features ColorFusion™ technology and a custom sensor specifically optimized for bar code scanning enabling the Xenon 1900 Color to scan previously unreadable barcodes, such as a red bar code on a white background.
Available in standard or high density scanning range, this imager supports a diverse variety of industries including healthcare, retail, and shipping. A feature specifically designed for the healthcare industry is the optional disinfectant ready housing which protects the scanner against harsh disinfectant chemicals. While not designed exclusively for healthcare, the ability to capture Drivers License photos and signatures with a simple scan can greatly speed up check-in times. Another feature to improve productivity and one that will please the end user is the scanner’s invaluable ability to read from LCD or mobile screens.
Extremely reliable, the Xenon 1900 Color withstands up to 50 drops to concrete from 6 feet, features an IP41-rating for added protection against dust and moisture, and provides a solid state design which consolidates components onto a single board, maximizing scanner longevity. Honeywell's latest Xenon is quite unique in its ability to scan red barcodes. Most scanners use red light to illuminate the intended barcode and thus any color which reflects red light is used for spaces between bars and not the bars themselves. This means that it is most often impossible for other scanners to read red as well as yellow and orange colored barcodes. One would expect this unique functionality to slow down a barcode scanner but with Honeywell’s ColorFusion™ technology the Xenon 1900 Color is just as aggressive as ever.
