The Datalogic Magellan 8500Xt Barcode Scanner / Scale Combination combines all of Datalogic's efforts in the high-volume fixed position scanning market, excellent for high volume retail or grocery locations. Datalogic's SurroundScan technology allows you to scan barcodes from up to six sides, increasing efficiency at checkout and minimizing the need to re-orient products. To further speed the barcode scanning process, the Magellan 8500Xt's scan engines are rated at 6,400 scans per second, fast and aggressive enough to get products without having to stop them on the unit.
The Magellan 8500Xt gives you added precision when weighing products with the improved settling times and new dual interval weighing system. At less than 500 milliseconds, the scale-settling time is fast enough to maintain product throughput. The 8500Xt's new dual interval weighing system allows for greater precision when weighing lighter products, giving greater precision and more accurate pricing for the customer. For bulkier products, Datalogic's AllWeighs system extends the weighing platter around the vertical scanning plane, letting large or irregular items be weighed accurately the first time.
