Finding the greatest advantage of the cordless industrial bar-code scanners is a no-brainer, it’s cordless! If mobility is what you are looking for, these scanners surpass any corded scanner out there. They are great for warehouses and Costco-like establishments that have a lot of ground to cover and can’t afford to trip over cords all day. Disadvantages to the cordless scanner include a slightly more in-depth set up and some scanners will need to re-synch with the base after losing the wireless connection. Similar to the LS3408, the LS3578 incorporates a Fuzzy Logic model for hard to read barcodes and an Extended Range model able to read bar-codes up to 18 feet away.

2D Industrial Imagers are faster and more accurate than your average industrial bar code scanner. With the ability to enhance any dirty, damaged, or just plain hard to read barcode, the 2D imager works well for applications such as shipping or package delivery.
